Rod parks in his driveway
Me, Sheri, Julie and Mandy all went to Rod's house Friday Night and he
cooked us the best steaks, mushrooms and asparagus we ever had. He
then took me for a ride to the store for milk and eggs in his Porsche
930...You have no idea how fast a car with 510 hp is till you ride in one. I
think he hit 80 in the driveway.
We woke up the next morning and flew the 412 and 407 to Texas Motor
Speedway. It was really cool being in formation and Im sure we made
quite a racket when we came in. We watched the race from the Suite and
flew home after. We found some lamp shades in Rod's guest house that
night and made the best of them. We went to the IRL race Sunday and
finally went home. I would say there was a total of 6 hrs sleep all weekend
and several people with oboe's for sale that are pissed off.
And, if you want to be on time, don't take 3 sisters with you.
It was a really great time for all concerned.
